Termites are often called the “silent destroyer” because they may be secretly hiding and thriving in your home or yard without any immediate signs of damage.
TYPES OF Termites
Three of the more common home-invading termite species are Eastern subterranean termites, Pacific dampwood termites, and Southeastern drywood termites.
Termites range from 1/4 to 1/2 an inch in length. The queens and kings are larger, capable of reaching over one inch long. The workers are typically soft-bodied and pale-colored. Flying termites, also called reproductives, have two pairs of prominent wings. Learn more about what a termite looks like.
In the summer months, reproductive flying termites leave their mature colonies to mate and pair off. After this, the couples lose their wings, become queens and kings, and create new colonies. Immature termites develop to fill one of three roles: workers, soldiers, or reproductives. Some species of termite queens lay millions of eggs each year.
Termites need food such as cellulose in your home’s wood. Wood building materials in and around homes can provide the ideal food source for these wood-destroying insects.
Certain chemicals can immediately kill the termite population of a particular colony. However, using certain chemicals in your locality might be against the law.

All American pest management has been a God send. They are focused on helping with the needs that I have and solving issues in the best way for our family and our Dog. My wife and son have special health needs and All American always works with us to take thoughts needs into consideration when treating our home. I first switched to them for a Termite protection as they were note only more reasonably priced but wanted to work with me on what I wanted (barrier protection as opposed to baits). I had talked with by service Tech from my previous provider who was a large national chain and he had advised me that in my situation I would be much better off with variorum protection than baits. But that I had to schedule through the sales person, when I talked to the sales person he only wanted to sell me baits. When I talked to All American they offered both options but also said that I would be better off with the barrier method and made it easy and affordable with professional service. I have since moved all my pest control to All American.
